Connecting to the internet
Before you connect your device to the internet, download the mobile app to your phone. The installation cannot be performed without it.
OPEN.ioting requires an internet connection to work. There are two ways to connect your device to the internet:
Connection via Wi-Fi
Requirements:

Wi-Fi network with internet access: the device and mobile phone on which you are installing the app should be connected to this network

Assign an IP address to the device (dynamic IP address assignment on the network)
When connecting to OPEN.ioting for the first time, it is necessary to establish a direct connection between the OPEN.ioting device and the mobile phone. That is why we recommend you to stand within one meter of the smart door opener with your phone when connecting to the device.
You can start setting up your device's Wi-Fi connection by pressing the WS button.
Press and hold the WS button for 5 seconds, then release it. The IP LED next to the Ethernet port will start to pulse in yellow. If the LED does not pulse, start the process again.
The app will then guide you through the installation process, please follow the instructions there.
For completeness, the following process should be followed:

The pulsing IP LED indicates that it is possible to connect to the device. The app will first connect to the OPEN.ioting device via Wi-Fi and list the Wi-Fi networks that the device has detected.

Select the network to which you want to connect the device, and in the next step enter the corresponding Wi-Fi password.

The device will then be connected to the network you selected and the mobile phone will be reconnected to the same Wi-Fi network to which you connected the device.

Finally, if the device is already available on the same Wi-Fi network, the mobile app will assign the OPEN.ioting device to the current user.
It is important to provide sufficient Wi-Fi signal strength to product, because it is equipped with an internal antenna. Do not place it at a location where radio signals may interfere (e.g. do not mount it in a metal box).
Connection via Ethernet cable
Requirements:

Internet connection to the device via Ethernet connector

Assign an IP address to the device (dynamic IP address assignment on the network)
If these conditions are met, the IP LED next to the Ethernet port will light up in yellow.

Connect the mobile phone on which you have installed the app to the same network via Wi-Fi
Open the mobile app.
The app will look for the device on the network.
By clicking on the settings button, the mobile app will assign the OPEN.ioting device to the current user.
