Invite users
The Owner can simply invite users by email address or by scanning a QR code. Up to 50 people can be invited to manage a device for free, but it will be possible to add up to 500 people for a one-time fee.
Invitation with email address
The User accepts the invitation by clicking on the activation link in the email .
If the User does not yet have the OPEN.ioting mobile application, the link will automatically redirect them to the Google / Apple store, from where they can download the mobile application. If they already have the OPEN.ioting mobile application, the link will install the tool.
IMPORTANT: Always open the link in the invitation with the mobile app on the mobile phone from which you would like to control the OPEN.ioting device in the future.
Invitation with QR code
QR code invitation is available in mobile app version 1.6.0 and above.
As the Owner, press the “Invite with QR code” button and then show the QR code that appears to the User. The User must click the “Add device” button in the bottom menu of their OPEN.ioting application and select the “Add device by scanning QR code” button. After scanning the QR code, they will be immediately added to your user database.
The User has the option to manually insert the link received in the email into the app after downloading the application.
