Our client was looking for a seamless, Apple-friendly way to control his existing Hörmann garage door. As an everyday user of Apple devices—including Apple Watch, iPhone, and CarPlay—he wanted a system that would integrate fully into his lifestyle.
Beyond just smart control, remote access was also key. He needed the ability to operate and monitor his garage door from anywhere, using the Apple ecosystem as the primary interface.
Installation
To meet this request, we retrofitted the Hörmann garage door with a magnetic limit switch, allowing real-time feedback on whether the door is open or closed.
We then integrated the OPEN.ioting smart gate control system with the Hörmann motor, ensuring full compatibility with Apple Watch, iPhone, and CarPlay.
The installation was carried out by a certified technician, who ensured the system was up and running smoothly on the same day. Thanks to the simplicity of the setup and the robust integration, the customer could start using the system immediately—no learning curve, no delays.
