Limit switch connection - OPEN.ioting Power+

The OPEN.ioting Power+ device is able to provide feedback on the open and closed status of the gate. This way you can check the position of the gate before starting the control operation.

This function can also be used to check the status of the gate (whether it is open or closed) and whether the garden or garage gate has closed without obstruction.

Inputs IN1 and IN2 are used to connect the limit switches.

  • Connect the position limit switch that indicates the fully open state of the gate to input IN1.

  • Connect the position limit switch that indicates the fully closed state of the gate to input IN2.

  • The device automatically detects the state change of the connected limit switches and manages the end positions accordingly.

If you do not want to use a limit switch, do not connect inputs IN1 and IN2.

The device can manage either one or two limit switches.

Configuring the limit switches and the control mode

If the limit switches connected to the IN1 and IN2 inputs are normally closed (NC), i.e., they provide an
open dry contact when the gate is fully open or fully closed, select the NC mode in the device settings in
the mobile app.

If the limit switches connected to the IN1 and IN2 inputs are normally open (NO), i.e., they provide a closed dry contact when the gate is fully open or fully closed, select the NO mode in the device settings in the mobile app.

The device detects the gate position limit switches connected to inputs IN1 and IN2 automatically. If the
limit switches are connected, the mobile application will display the open, closed, and intermediate status of the gate (if both IN1 and IN2 are connected) – i.e., when the gate is opening or closing:
